Married to Aaron Fletcher (shown above), Liz was ecstatic to start this business as a Co-founder with her partner in crime. Encinitas has been a shared passion for both Aaron and Liz for it’s been the foundation to their 2 young kids, Owen and Madison and their sweet pitbull, Murphy. After growing up in Encinitas, Liz attended the University of San Francisco where she met Aaron at her first job as a Graphic Designer. She lived and worked in “The City” for 8 years not loving the daily grind of the 9-5pm (more like 6:30am -7:30pm), deadlines, endless meetings and corporate politics. After realizing that she was only looking forward to the end of each work day and the weekends, she was determined to take the entrepreneurial path and put that life behind her for good. She is passionate about online marketing, helping small business achieve financial freedom and everything Encinitas. In her spare time you can find her enjoying her family, dabbling in some sort of art project, sweating it out in hot yoga or having dinner with a good friend.
Co-founder of itsEncinitas.com, Colleen McColloch contributes a variety of talents and experiences to this site. She is an accomplished photographer of over 35 years, has an extensive business and management background, is rather creative, if not a bit kooky, and is passionate about itsEncinitas and it’s people. She serves as both content writer and editor, creative designer and business account manager. She loves writing and working closely with our team of writers developing story ideas and assignments. She is developing and writing an interactive “Community of Encinitas” column for ItsEncinitas which should debut soon. Colleen has lived in and around Encinitas for over 20 years and loves this wonderful town. She and husband, Mike, raised 3 children here and have truly come to appreciate the “magic” of this great community and city. While photographing and developing for itsEncinitas, Colleen has had a wonderful time meeting and mingling with the city’s most precious gift: its people. Her hobbies include anything photographic, painting, writing, reading, cooking, gardening, traveling, entertaining, celebrating her extensive family and playing with her three grandchildren as often as possible. She is thrilled and grateful to have this amazing opportunity to work and create for such a great directory and with such talented co-workers! What an outstanding late career for this old dog! Thank you Aaron and Liz for including me in your dreams and adventures!
Marnie is a freelance writer and mom to two boys – Finn, 6, and Declan, 4. She started out as a Copywriter for FOX’s americanidol.com and has since written for sites like LivingSocial, Red Tricycle, and Wetpaint. Marnie has also been published twice in San Diego Magazine’s “best of” segments. Her writing on parenting has been featured several times on the popular Scary Mommy blog and on Disney’s parenting website, Babble. This busy North County resident also hosts a mommy blog called LoveButBlog, which takes a rather irreverent look at the trials of motherhood and marriage. On top of raising two nutty boys, she wrangles two portly pugs named Olive and Fred. When she’s not writing or wiping noses and buns, she’s working out, indulging in her trashy TV addiction with her equally addicted husband, cracking a bottle of Malbec, or fantasizing about her dream trip to the Amalfi Coast in Italy.
Daniel Lilie writes and blogs on diverse topics, including sports, culture, design, and architecture, and has written a book, “Soccer in the Weeds, Bad Hair, Jews, and Chasing the Beautiful Game,” that chronicles the (mis) adventures of a youth growing up in suburban Connecticut who choses the at-the-time wholly unpopular sport of soccer. Dan consults to the real estate and energy industries and lives with his wife Melissa and three children in Leucadia. He is working on a novel, Dark Roast, which is not due to be published by anyone soon.

Jessica writes. She creates and she loves. She has successfully avoided using her Architectural Engineering Degree (by normal standards) for four years and counting; but is a successful Journalist, Content Writer, Artist and Creative Director. Jessica was originally born in the mountains of Montana, but has since traveled and lived in Los Angeles, British Columbia, Puerto Rico, Baja Mexico and San Diego. She feels strongly about equality, empathy, autism, and not waking up at 8am. Jessica is in a complicated relationship with the world wide web and is obsessed with TED talks, environmental awareness, art, fashion, food and booze. She loves a good Moscow Mule. When not obsessively working, she’s usually driving her hopelessly romantic fiancé crazy. He’s the best. Jessica has now lived in and around Encinitas for 10 years and have enjoyed every minute of it. Namaste.
